Local artist Chip Collins opens for Randy Rogers

For the past years the Northeastern Activities Board has organized a large-scale concert at the NSU Event Center. Last year the board brought Waka Flocka. This year NAB is bringing Randy Rogers, a country artist who is well-known across the United States. This concert, tailored to the Tahlequah community, has given Bryan Harris, NAB concert chairman, the opportunity to reach out to local bands to potentially open for the concert.

Turnpike Troubadours return to Tahlequah

Turnpike for Tahlequah is a community concert event that will benefit the Tahlequah Area Habitat for Humanity and further their goals of building houses for Tahlequah community members. Five NSU Media Studies students are organizing the event on behalf of TAHFH. The featured band, Turnpike Troubadours, has agreed to headline the event as a way to give back to their hometown. The concert will also feature openers from Finches in the Attic and River’s Edge Band.

University Singers perform “A Masterworks Concert”

The University Singers present “A Masterworks Concert,” a free and cultural performance, with the goal to educate. The concert is out-of-the-ordinary from the typical repertoire and challenging due to a few aspects, said Caleb Cline, president of University Singers. The premiere touring choral ensemble intends to broaden their skill set, as well as broaden the musical appreciation of the audience.
