River City Players present first ever holiday show

The River City Players are performing a holiday-themed show titled “A River City Holiday” at the end of November through the beginning of December. The show consists of a series of performances containing some of the most popular songs from the River City Players summer 2018 run. The upcoming show also contains several famous holiday-themed songs. This is the first time the River City Players have organized a show specifically for the winter holidays season.

NSU Jazz program performs fall concert

The NSU Jazz Lab is preparing for their fall concert. Since August,  John Petrucelli, jazz director, has challenged and pushed his students to learn cover songs by Thad Jones. The jazz band has studied the music and practiced week after week, and they are ready to perform their concert.

Opera Workshop celebrates Leonard Bernstein with scenes performance

Opera Workshop is educating and entertaining the general public and students with the music of Leonard Bernstein in an opera scenes performance. This concert celebrates the Bernstein Centennial, which is on the 100th birthday of the famed music composer, conductor and author.

Brady Hacker presents senior trombone recital

As he pursues his final year at NSU, Brady Hacker, Sapulpa senior, is preparing to present his senior trombone recital. Hacker is accompanied by Farren Mayfield, faculty pianist and instructor, on piano and Lilly Lewis, Tahlequah sophomore, on trombone. Hacker is performing pieces of which he said are challenging, yet enjoyable and rewarding to play.
