NSU’s Nicolet named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

11/1/18

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State junior Mariah Nicolet is the MIAA's Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer, league officials announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Nicolet had three goals for the RiverHawks in their last two games.  The Mannford, Okla. native came up big for NSU on the road Friday evening at #5-ranked Central Oklahoma scoring the eventual game winning goal in the 58th minute to upset the Bronchos, 2-1, in Edmond.

Her goal served as a catalyst for Northeastern State to re-enter the postseason race, and land as the number-6 seed in the MIAA postseason tournament.

Nicolet collected her two other goals in Sunday's 5-2 win over Southwest Baptist to bring her career total to 20.
