Football locker room undergoes makeover

NSU’s football team is one of the major sports on campus. The program plays a major part on and off the field. The coaches and student-athletes represent NSU around campus. The players can be looked at as leaders on campus. The locker room can be a second home to athletes. It is a place where athletes can be comfortable and block distractions going on outside of their football world. Tony Duckworth, NSU athletic director, is in the process of facilitating a re-build of  the football  locker room.

RiverHawks football gets first win in double overtime thriller

The RiverHawks were in all too familiar territory when they were trailing late in the fourth quarter. They were down by seven until Gary McKnight Jr., senior wide receiver from Lawton, scored with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game. NSU went on to beat Missouri Southern State in double overtime on a McKnight 23-yard touchdown grab, for the RiverHawks first win of the season.

Football looks past homecoming distractions

Homecoming brings an excitement to college campuses as the college football season carries on. The excitement grows the closer schools get to their homecoming. Homecoming comes with a variety of activities that students are encouraged to engage in. These activities all propose distractions for the college football players as they try to focus on the game. This is no different for the NSU players.
