NSU Men’s Golf take 11th at Broncho Stampede in Edmond

EDMOND, OKLA--- Bryce Newton fired an even-par 72 in the final round to lead Northeastern State to an 11th place finish at the 2018 MIAA Broncho Stampede at the Rose Creek Golf Course here Tuesday.

For the second day in a row, NSU's Bryce Newton hit an eagle on the course. Newton finished in a tie for 23rd  with a three-round total of 224.  Ty Shelnutt fired a final round 74 and Hunter Pennington carded a 76 to finish tied for 43rd with three round totals of 232.

The RiverHawks finished with a team total of 919, 54 shots back of champion Missouri Western state and 40 shots back of second place Central Missouri.

Next tournament action for the RiverHawks will be at the MIAA Conference Championships on April 23-25 held at the Sycamore Ridge Golf Club in Spring Hill, Kansas.
