As the semester comes to an end, campus departments are looking to make changes and get a head start on preparations for next year. The intramural department at NSU is looking to do just that.

It can be a hectic time of year, whether students are getting ready for graduation or searching for an addition job, the holidays can be busy.

“Now that the semester is winding down, some students are looking for alternative employment,” said Shayla Lovy, intramural supervisor.  “I am excited to start the hiring process with the director of the fitness center.”

Not only is it an exciting and assiduous time for students, but NSU faculty and staff alike are hard at work as well.

“I’m stoked to be able to work with fresh new faces next semester,” said Chris Gates, intramural referee. “This semester was a lot of fun, and I got to meet and work with a ton of new people.”

The intramural department is looking to add between four to five new student workers to join their team. There have already been three people hired and are still accepting applications.

“We are looking to hire at least 2 new responsible student workers that will be willing to follow the rules and enforce intramural policy,” said Kim Dawson, director of the NSU Fitness Center. “When we are done with the entire hiring process we should have a total of 10 combined workers.”

Students looking for a part time job on the Tahlequah campus are encouraged to go to the new Fitness Center and apply today.
