An offensive lull in the middle quarters set Northeastern State back on Saturday, falling 65-50 to Pittsburg State at the NSU Event Center.   Bailee Eldred paced the RiverHawks (9-9, 5-6 MIAA) with 13 points and finished the two game homestand with a split; Lauryn Blevins added 11 and Cailyn Long had nine.

RiverHawks face Pitt State Saturday

Northeastern State holds a 6-3 series advantage over Pitt State when hosting the Gorillas in Tahlequah.  In 29 meetings with Pitt State, the RiverHawks trail the overall series 17-11, and have lost the last seven in a row.  Within the NSU Event Center confines, the two programs have met twice; Northeastern State has made three trips in a row to Pitt State.

NSU men continue homestand with Pitt State

The RiverHawks and Pitt State have met 72 times over the last 90 years with the Gorillas holding a 50-22 series lead.  In Tahlequah, NSU trails 16-13 but has won three of their last four meetings with PSU.  Northeastern State has traveled to Pittsburg for four straight times and was winless during that span.  The RiverHawks last win (61-60) over the Gorillas came on Feb. 19, 2014 at the NSU Event Center. 

RiverHawks rock Missouri Southern, 78-48

TAHLEQUAH – Lucas Antunez's career night powered the RiverHawks to a 78-48 win over Missouri Southern at the NSU Event Center on Wednesday evening.  Northeastern State (6-13, 2-8 MIAA) throttled the Lions (12-8, 7-4 MIAA) in the second half scoring 22 unanswered points for RiverHawks' largest margin of victory between the two programs.

NSU women cage Lions, 63-60

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State withstood a late Missouri Southern rally to pick up a 63-60 win behind a double-double performance by Lauryn Blevins on Wednesday evening at the NSU Event Center.  Blevins had 14 points and ten rebounds for the RiverHawks (9-8, 5-5 MIAA) who had three others in double figures against the Lions (10-9, 7-4 MIAA).
