The men’s soccer team is having a lot of success this season and has only lost one game in this year’s regular season play. Joe Garcia, senior midfielder, has been leading the team with the many achievements for the RiverHawks.

“Joe always has a work ethic that is hard to match,” said Ben Watson, junior defender. “He day in and day out goes to practice and always competes to be top dog.”

Garcia has now scored in a nine consecutive games and has scored 10 total goals for his team this season. The nine games with a goal is a new school record and puts him tied for seventh in the NCAA Division II record book. Garcia has been building on that record since his game against Fort Hayes on Sept. 23, where he beat his own school of six consecutive games with a goal. He also is on track to have more goals then he did last season’s of 13 total goals.

The RiverHawks will play away at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 at Searcy, Arkansas to face the Harding Bison.
