The NSU women’s soccer program is in familiar territory after their 10-0 start to the season. The RiverHawks started the season strong winning 10 straight, but they hiccupped after their first loss. They are now 11-2 overall and 5-2 in the MIAA after losses to the No. 2 ranked Central Missouri and an unranked Missouri Western State (12-2). They had the same start to last season as they went 10-0 to start the season and lost to both Central Missouri and Missouri Western State to fall to 11-2.

The NSU men’s soccer team had a subpar 2016 season compared to recent years. The RiverHawks went 7-9-1 last year with a 3-5 record in MIAA. They struggled to find their feet and had an inexperienced team. The RiverHawks will return nearly the same team with another year’s experience in hand. NSU will rely on the experience they gained through last season to prepare them for the 2017 season.
