Student Engagement spreads holiday cheer to families throughout Cherokee County

The Department of Student Engagement is organizing the Cherokee County Angel Tree to help give presents to children and families who find it hard to afford gifts on their own during the holiday season. Any family that meets the Angel Tree income guidelines can apply and qualify for gifts. The children who qualify are known as angels. Members of the community then symbolically adopt an angel and donate for them. Volunteers are needed to help deliver the gifts to the families of the angels.

Wellness Center engages Tahlequah community with FitRanX program

Every weekday, the Wellness Center provides classes as a part of its Tahlequah FitRanX program. This program is a available in addition to center’s membership fee and consists of ten fitness levels. Similar to many martial arts programs, FitRanX members train within their respective level before taking a test to pass to the next level. Minja Savic, FitRanX coach, refers to the Wellness Center’s chart of FitRanX levels.

NSU presents Lights On at Seminary Hall – Dec. 4

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- Northeastern State University will celebrate its 26th “Lights On” at Seminary Hall ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 on the Tahlequah campus. The popular event will bring the NSU and Tahlequah communities together to jumpstart the season while officially lighting the historic Seminary Hall for the holidays.
