Graduating seniors majoring in fine art and art education are required to have an art exhibition during their last semester in college. The students are given an option to name their show. However, this particular show does not have a name. Jessica Jobe and Vanessa Rogers, two graduating students majoring in art, are displaying work that has been completed while taking different art classes during college.
“The students are asked to select which pieces they would like to include in the show,” said Sylvia Hunter, NSU art instructor and NSU Art Gallery director. “I sometimes give them recommendations to include a piece or to leave one out if I think that it's not as strong as their other work.”
Some of the work is for sale. The students get to decide if they want to sell the work or not and how much they want to price it. The gallery shows are free and open to the public. This exhibition ends Friday, Dec. 8.
