The students in the NSU Spanish Club organized a Latin Dance Night on Monday, Feb. 5 to give students an experience of Latin culture. The class was taught at the NSU Event Center, where students learned the salsa, cha-cha and other Latin dances.

“We put events on like these so students and the community can get familiar with the Spanish language and cultures,” said Gemini Creason-Parker, Spanish Club president.

The Spanish Club has meetings at 6 p.m. every other Monday in Seminary Hall Room 113.

“I would encourage anyone who is trying to get out of their comfort zone to come chat with us even if they don’t speak Spanish,” said Creason-Parker. “It’s not required to be in the club.”
