Though not desired, vehicle accidents occur on campus just as they occur off campus.  When they do occur on campus, University Police is available to help.

If students should get into an accident on campus, they should call the University Police.

University Police can help take pictures for insurance purposes. Much like if an accident occurs off of campus, it is up to the students to file a claim with their insurance. Students can file a claim or pay for damages out of pocket.

“The University Police were really polite when I got into a fender bender in the parking lot outside of Leoser,” said Bailee Harmon, Fort Gibson senior. “Although they could not tell me what was going to come of the situation, it is understandable because they are not an insurance company.”

To contact the University Police, call 918-458-2111. Students can also download the 911Shield app for any nonemergency situations.
