Lucas Antunez, senior guard from Madrid, went for a career-high 22 points in the RiverHawks’ 78-48 victory over the Missouri Southern Lions. He made seven of his nine field goals attempted, including making all three of his three-point attempts. He also finished with six rebounds and three assists.

“We just played great defense,” said Antunez. “We knew the scouting report, and we closed out on shooters. On offense we just executed. Coach drew up good plays that got us easy baskets.”

Wednesday’s victory marks Antunez’s seventh double-digit point performance this season. He will look to keep it going in the RiverHawks next contest, a home game against Pitt State on Saturday, Jan. 27. Tipoff is at 2:30 p.m.
