Most students who have classes in the Science Building on the NSU Tahlequah campus had to walk across campus to enjoy an on-campus meal. This made some students question whether the lengthy walk was worth losing time in their schedules. Food 4 Thought appeared in the Science Building last fall semester and has helped students since its appearance.

Food 4 Thought is a food stand located in the first-floor lobby of the Science Building on the NSU Tahlequah campus. The stand offers sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, fruit, desserts, coffee, juice and energy drinks. Students are also offered meal trade options. Food 4 Thought has become a convenient option for students and faculty who may just need a grab-and-go meal.

“Honestly, I love it,” said Peyton Turner, Tulsa junior. “As a cellular and molecular biology major, I never leave this building. I eat at Food 4 Thought at least three times a week. I can tell that other students enjoy it too, because I see groups of people there every day around lunch. The food quality is really good and I think that you have great options for meal trade.”

Selena Hensley, Food 4 Thought cashier, said she has many students stop by Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. She said she notices many students practically live in the Science Building due to classes and would rather not walk to the UC. Hensley said the meal trade option is new and not many students know about it.
