Student Athlete Advisory Committee raises money for American Red Cross

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is an organization on campus that works toward raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation within the Division II conference. The university that raises the most money in the conference receives a reward. Recently, SAAC has switched to donating to American Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The members of SAAC brought a dunk tank to the tailgate on Sept. 16 to raise money.

Open mic night brings student expression

The Northeastern Activities Board’s Open Mic Night attracted many students who watched and performed. Students are encouraged to participate in any way they would like. Some of the performances included students singing, beatboxing, rapping, playing the guitar, playing the banjo, doing stand-up comedy and showcasing original songs and poetry.

Parking Services provides color-coded permits

All students with a car on NSU campuses are required to have valid parking permits in order to park in any vehicle parking spaces on campus. There are designated parking lots for different groups including housing residents, commuters, faculty and staff, visitors and handicapped.

Women's soccer remains undefeated

The NSU women’s soccer team has started the season 4-0. The RiverHawks’ toughest opposition they have played this year is Harding, a NCAA tournament team for the past two years. NSU beat Harding 2-0.
