Students participate in Chalk the Walk

Every year during homecoming week, NSU’s Northeastern Activities Board holds a chalk drawing competition called Chalk the Walk. This allows students to show their ideas of incorporating the year’s homecoming theme with the school itself. This year’s theme is the Wizard of Oz. All around the fountain in Second Century Square there will be drawings of different Oz characters.


Students receive free backpacks

Students in need of a new backpack can receive a free one on campus. To receive a free backpack, all students have to do is go to the Student Academic Success Center and ask about the free backpacks. One of the workers will provide a free backpack.


Tahlequah Tigers march on

The Tahlequah High School marching band joined in on the Cherokee National Holiday fun and was one of four bands that performed in the parade. The four bands included two other local high schools and the NSU marching band. Their performance brought smiles to onlookers and young children.
