John Vaughan Library is a place for students to check out books, study and work on assignments. The library is a three-story building that provides different items for student use.

The first floor includes a reference section. They also have laptops, tablets, cameras, anatomy items and other miscellaneous tools for student use. The second floor houses periodicals, newspapers, microfilm, special collections and curriculum materials. Special collections has historical documents, microfilm and other important materials, while curriculum materials houses books and items that aid education majors in planning lessons. These include textbooks, oversize books, boxes of sample lesson plans and more. The main collection books, government documents and youth collection books are located on the third floor.

“Our most used section of main collection is our fiction section,” said Kaela Flourno, library employee. “These can be found in the shelves with the PS signs on them.”

Reference librarian offices are also located on the third floor. Reference librarians assist students who need a little extra guidance in doing research projects and papers.

The library hours are 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday, 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The week before finals, the library will be open at 7:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Friday.
