The Rho Rho chapter of Order of Omega was established at NSU on Feb. 2, 1999. Order of Omega is an honor offered to fraternity and sorority life members every year. The organization has been slowly growing in past semesters, but it hopes to grow significantly in the coming semesters.

Kappa Sigma organizes annual powderpuff philanthropy event

The Kappa Sigma’s eighth annual Powderpuff game is in the works. Powderpuff is Kappa Sigma’s fall philanthropy event the sororities on campus participate in. The funds from the event go to different philanthropies each year. Last year, all the money was donated to the Cherokee Nation Angel Tree Project. The last three years Powderpuff has raised over $2000. This year the fraternity is hoping to surpass that number.

Greek life on campus strives to make community impact

Every fall semester in the Greek community, Greeks get together to compete in exciting games throughout a specified week. This year, Greek Life is changing its Greek Week to stray away from competition and competitive events and instead lean its events more to social and community service-based events.

NSU offers Native American sorority

Since 1994, Native American women have had a chance to be a part of a Greek organization. Members of the Alpha Pi Omega are committed to each other, as well as their communities, tribes, families, academic excellence and self-empowerment. NSU’s Theta chapter was chartered June 2, 2007.
