Interfraternity Council prepares for recruitment week

Men’s recruitment week is here and the Interfraternity Council is ready to combat their low numbers of the past. Members of IFC and fraternity chapter presidents gathered at Greek Leader Retreat where they met with their sorority counterparts to discuss past issues and start recruitment week with their best foot forward.

NSU sorority gives back to the Arthritis Foundation

NSU’s sorority Alpha Omicron Pi is preparing for their new event Pumpkin Pie with AOII event at NSU. For $5, attendees will receive unlimited pumpkin desserts, coffee and ciders made by the sisters of AOII. The unlimited pumpkin desserts, coffee and ciders are available for the students and faculty of NSU, but citizens of Tahlequah are invited to join as well.

Order of Omega welcomes new members

The Rho Rho chapter of Order of Omega was established at NSU on Feb. 2, 1999. Order of Omega is an honor offered to fraternity and sorority life members every year. The organization has been slowly growing in past semesters, but it hopes to grow significantly in the coming semesters.

Kappa Sigma organizes annual powderpuff philanthropy event

The Kappa Sigma’s eighth annual Powderpuff game is in the works. Powderpuff is Kappa Sigma’s fall philanthropy event the sororities on campus participate in. The funds from the event go to different philanthropies each year. Last year, all the money was donated to the Cherokee Nation Angel Tree Project. The last three years Powderpuff has raised over $2000. This year the fraternity is hoping to surpass that number.
