The Interfraternity Council acts as the governing body for all of the fraternity communities on campus, and according to their bylaws “seeks to strengthen the fraternity community, secure a greater unity in our aims and objectives, effectively regulate the affairs of the member fraternities of the Interfraternity council and promote a positive Greek image.”

Losing a strong team member can impact any organization, whether it is negative or positive. This holds true in institutions of higher education as well. When Helen Lahrman, NSU’s former Greek Life Coordinator, announced her new position at a different school, the NSU community celebrated the new opportunity with her and expressed excitement for her in her final days on campus.

For many years now, many organizations have made it a priority to use events and competition to give back to the community. One of the largest annual events of this kind is the Kappa Sigma Sorority Powder-puff Game. Each year all three sororities come out to compete and raise money for a good cause.
