On March 15, 1993 at the Neon Library in Tahlequah, the Nu-Phi chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity was established. Still here 23 years later, Kappa Sigma is one of six fraternities on NSU’s campus.

The Interfraternity Council acts as the governing body for all of the fraternity communities on campus, and according to their bylaws “seeks to strengthen the fraternity community, secure a greater unity in our aims and objectives, effectively regulate the affairs of the member fraternities of the Interfraternity council and promote a positive Greek image.”
