Backpack Program feeds hungry children

Tahlequah Public School has partnered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the community and local businesses to feed hungry students over the weekend. Through this program an estimated 120 students are being sent home with plastic bags containing food. The number is continuing to grow.

Drip brews coffee, builds relationships

Since November of 2012, Drip: The Beverage Lab has been serving coffee to the Tahlequah community, offering an area to sit and enjoy any kind of beverage or food. Drip recently made their big move into a new location, moving to what used to be known as the Iguana Café in October of 2017. With their business quickly growing, Drip is pushing to be better.

Buffalo Wilds Wings takes over halftime

When one steps into the Tahlequah Buffalo Wild Wings, they will be stepping into Buffalo Wild Wings’ new design for their stores. The purpose of this design is to make it feel like game day, living up to their tagline “Wings, Beer, Sports.” There is so much detail that goes into making one feel like they are getting the most out of their experience at Buffalo Wild Wings.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health ranked Oklahoma as 45th for overall health in the country. Physical inactivity was reported to be a leading contributor to almost 1 in 10 adult deaths in the U.S. Cherokee Nation’s Wings Fitness Program is a program designed to provide a healthier lifestyle, promote the importance of physical activity and teach health education to the community.
