Students organize volleyball cookout to benefit Blue Star Mothers

A group of students at NSU is organizing a volleyball tournament and cookout this month to raise money for the Blue Star Mothers of America, an organization dedicated to helping veterans and active duty military members, as well as their families.

As the semester begins dwindling to a close, many students feel the oncoming stress and anxiety of the final weeks. While some have their own methods of de-stressing, others do not. The Tahlequah Public Library has bimonthly adult coloring group meetings to help NSU students and Tahlequah community members de-stress from their daily routines.


Long Swamp exhibit makes its first stop in Tahlequah

Tahlequah’s John Hair Cultural Center and Museum is the first stop for the Long Swamp: Life in the Etowah River Valley traveling exhibit. Long Swamp is an archeological site in Cherokee County, Ga. The exhibit displays the life of the American Indian communities during the Mississippian period that leads up to contact with European explorers and settlers.
