Homecoming king and queen elections are one of the many highlights of NSU’s school pride. It is a time where NSU puts a face to the student body and gives candidates the right to claim their throne, a platform where students are nominated to represent their student organizations and an opportunity where school spirit is displayed not through popularity, but through school involvement and community outreach. From the campaigning and elections to the parade and game day, this is a one in a lifetime opportunity for many. The nerves running high from the anticipation and the joy from all their support coming from the student body, encompasses the true highlights of the nominating homecoming king and queen.

William Cody Ryals, Tahlequah senior, is a health and physical education major. He will graduate this May. Not only is NSU in his hometown but it also offers one of the best education program in Oklahoma. He plans to stay in the area after graduation and coach high school football and teach health.
