The Thompson house is a part of Tahlequah’s history. The house was built in 1882 for Dr. Joseph M. Thompson. He was a health officer for the Cherokees and also was a private medical doctor. The city of Tahlequah is full of historical monuments and the Thompson house is one of the many interesting places that Tahlequah has to offer.
