NSU students compete for the title of Miss Cherokee

The Miss Cherokee Leadership Competition takes place every year in Tahlequah as a part of the Cherokee National Holiday. This year there are six contestants competing who are students at NSU. They are Brooke Bailey, Shayley Fourkiller, Raven Girty, Elizabeth Hummingbird, Macie Sullateskee and Sky Wildcat.

The Tahlequah Farmers’ Market is held seasonally downtown at Norris Park. It is a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping facilitate the sale of products by vendors. Tahlequah Farmers’ Market was created nine years ago and now has a total of 36 vendors who participate.
