Stickball is a traditional game, a part of the culture for indigenous people. It was used as a form of war to settle arguments in earlier times. Now, stickball is more a social thing, a competition, not getting over any disagreements. The game is sponsored by the Native American Student Association. NASA gets a group together and practices on their own before the actual tournaments at Beta Field. Some members of the team play in leagues.
