The International office has a holiday party during the Christmas season. It is a tradition of the International office to spend this holiday with students.

“This year I assisted the office in hosting a Christmas party,” said Casey Bulman, International office front desk staff. “This event is a Christmas Party aimed towards bringing international students together and also inviting other students as well. At our Christmas party we will have different activities like sugar cookie decorating, ornament decorating, an ugly sweater fashion show and a fun little game involving prizes. I am very excited about our Christmas party, and we love hanging out with our international students and getting to know them.”

As the front desk of the International office, Bulman is busy with a lot of things. They spend a lot of thought to prepare for this Christmas party.

“We even have a meeting of staff for this gathering,” said Bulman. “Through this meeting we can discuss how to hold this party. We have a lot of plans and we want to implement them. I hope this party will satisfy everyone.”

In the face of the upcoming Christmas, many international students also expressed their expectations for the arrival of this festival.

“I am very much looking forward to the Christmas party,” said Chengyang Bai, Chinese freshman. “This is my first year of study at NSU. I have not celebrated a traditional American Christmas yet. So, I am very much looking forward to this party coming. I think that must be very interesting.”

Some students are unfamiliar with international students who have just arrived in the United States. Bai is trying to adapt to his first semester and get through some cultural shocks.

“I believe the office will help us through these events,” said Bai. “I can make a lot of friends through various activities organized by the International office. I think this has an extraordinary meaning for me. I don't think I will miss this Christmas party. This will definitely be a very memorable event.”

As an aid organization for NSU international students, the International office has always been committed to bringing the warmth of international students. Bulman believes this Christmas party will be an unforgettable memory. She encourages everyone to actively participate in this event.

“I will never miss this party,” said Moe Alqahtani, Arabic senior. “Every year I attend a Christmas party in the International office. They create a lot of interesting little games and awards. I don't think I will forget these lives in school for the rest of my life that those activities of the International Office have given me many unforgettable memories.”

The International office Christmas holiday party is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the UC Redbud room.
