2018 election influences change across all of Oklahoma

The 2018 election season is approaching and information on what is going to be on the ballot is being distributed to the public. Education is a debated issue and after the teacher walk-out earlier this year, it continues to be on the minds of both politicians and the general public. Other topics such as healthcare and the management of government spending in Oklahoma is also be directly affected by this year’s election. The gubernatorial race decides who is to succeed Mary Fallin as governor of Oklahoma, and the five state questions voted on this November have an impact throughout the state.


NSU embraces Native American history with the third annual Indigenous People’s Day

Plans for the third annual NSU Indigenous People's Day are in place, and it is shaping up to be another eventful year for the holiday. In 2016, NSU President Steve Turner officially declared that the university will observe Indigenous People’s Day annually on the second Monday of October. This would replace the traditionally recognized Columbus Day.


Meal plans offer students multiple food options

NSU currently offers many places to eat all over campus. Popular options include Senior Sabroso tacos, Pete-nut butter and Chick-fil-A nuggets. The university offers various meal plans that accommodate individual student needs.  David Wilcox is the general manager of Sodexo. He oversees operations over all the campus dining services.
