Big Event committee prepares for upcoming service day

NSU has served the Tahlequah community with the largest day of service in the area since 2006. The Big Event allows students to spend the day completing tasks specified by community members. NSU is one of over 70 schools that participate in this nation-wide day of service.


Felts Shoes supports the NSU community

After years of service to the Tahlequah and NSU community, Felts Shoes continues to give back. Clay Felts and his wife Kay Felts founded Felts Family Shoe Store in 1939. They opened the store on Valentine’s Day of that year and have since become known for their family-owned business both locally and statewide.


Ben Hay presents faculty trumpet recital

Amongst the many performances the music department is presenting this fall, Ben Hay, music instructor, is bringing a collection of repertoires to the stage at the Center of Performing Arts. Hay is accompanied by Dr. Ronald Chioldi, music professor and faculty pianist. The concert includes traditional and non-traditional works by composers Manuel De Falla, Arthur Honegger and Adam Cuthbert.
