NeoHealth continues collaboration with NSU

NSU is working to improve health services for the student body. NeoHealth made its debut in 2004 with their first clinic in Hulbert, OK. Since then, they have created various health clinics in Cherokee, Muskogee, Mayes and Adair county. One of NSU’s unrecognized benefits is the NeoHealth Medical Center on campus. NeoHealth has benefited students on the Tahlequah campus and is now available for students on the Muskogee campus.


College of Extended Learning recognized for outstanding service

The College of Extended Learning received an award recognizing the Healthcare Administration Certificate program. The CEL is a part of the Continuing Education department. It allows professionals to extend the knowledge they have acquired. The 2018 Outstanding Services to Underserved Populations award was presented to CEL by the Association for Continuing Higher Education.


Smith awarded PRSA Tulsa Chapter Chuck Schnake Memorial Scholarship

Tulsa, OK – Dae’lyn Smith of Mannford, Oklahoma has been awarded the Public Relations Society of America Tulsa Chapter Chuck Schnake Memorial Scholarship for the 2018-2019 spring semester. Smith will receive $1,000 for her senior year at Northeastern State University. Smith is a first generation college student and the daughter of Michelle Smith and Kenneth Ray Sanders Jr. and the granddaughter of Jim and Kathy Smith. 

John Vaughan Library clear of bedbugs

The John Vaughan Library confirms the library is not the host to a bedbug infestation after a comprehensive search on Wednesday, Dec. 12. However, the presence of bedbugs may still be present from outside sources.

Library temporarily shuts down for bed bug prevention

Students are not the only ones staying up for late-night study sessions in the library. A bedbug was found in the library Monday, Nov. 26 which caused the library to be shut down on Friday, Nov. 30.
