NSU tabs Downey as men’s basketball head coach

NSU has officially hired Mark Downey to be the next head basketball coach for the RiverHawk men’s basketball program. Downey has an impressive resume coming from a Division I assistant coaching position at Fort Wayne (NCAA DI). NSU Athletic Director Tony Duckworth was stoked to get a coach the caliber of Downey to lead the RiverHawks.

NSU Violence Prevention observes Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Throughout this month, NSU will observe April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This month the campus will present multiple events dedicated to educating and spreading awareness for sexual assault both on and off campus.

Career Services gets students “LinkedIn” with potential jobs

LinkedIn is a familiar name on the internet, but many could say they have little to no clue what it is or what it is for. In April, NSU Career Services will have a workshop explaining what LinkedIn is and how it can help students find jobs after college.

Tahlequah sees infrastructure and business improvements

Tahlequah is still a relatively small town, with a population of approximately 16,000 people. Up to this point Tahlequah has shown a slow increase in population over the last decade. That may be about to change, thanks to some new construction projects that are planned around town.
