The political science and geography department of Northeastern State University is sponsoring GIS Day at NSU on Wednesday, Nov. 16. GIS stands for geographic information systems. Many different entities use this type of technology for everything from mapping to research. The geography program has committed to collaborating with other entities and discussing the uses and benefits of GIS technology.

The department of languages and literature at Northeastern State University announces two graduate students, Jennifer Scott and Cheyenne Roy, along with Dr. Kim Lee, associate professor of English, attended the second biennial Cultural Rhetoric’s Conference at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan recently.

NSU Sequoyah Institute shines the light on Capitol Steps

The Sequoyah Institute at Northeastern State University has been presenting national touring artists to the Tahlequah area for the past 30 years as a part of the Performing Arts Series. The 2016-2017 season starts off with a comedic bang. The Capitol Steps will grace the stage at the NSU Center for Performing Arts with their performance.
